I think you’re going to have to consider retaining on Gibson whether it’s to the Canes or another team. Not saying he’s bad, but there are question marks and that is going to scare a lot of teams off with 6.4m with term.

The Canes are one of the least likely teams to trade multiple picks in one trade, especially not for a Goalie. It’s have to be a proven franchise net minder to consider it.

I'd rather keep Gibson if the team isn't getting a 1st round pick back. I believe he's better on the team than whatever players the team would get with mid round picks

If his name is cleared then he has a lot more value than Henrique

I don’t think Canes would target Gibson in a trade when there are plenty of options in FA or that could be acquired more cheaply. Also think ducks fans will say this isn’t enough and I personally wouldn’t move this much from canes standpoint so just doesn’t seem like a fit
