Canes laugh. Ceci is a cap dump. Broberg is eh. Pesce is worth way more. Start with Bouchard. And you had the guts to include a pick going back to the Oilers? Comical

I’m not disagreeing totally, However, Ceci was injured all of last year, is a RHD and they are thee hardest Dmen to acquire. Ceci has legit value despite whatever misconceptions you have of the player.
Broberg is statistically tracking as a true second pairing adman who can play both sides and has done so at the NHL level.

You need to reevaluate what you think you’re getting for a player with 1 year on his contract.

The Provorov trade and the Severson trade called, they said your ask is wildly off.

Provorov had been on the block for years and Severson literally proves that RD are super valuable. Pesce is, for my money, the best shutdown RD in the world. He's a core piece of a Stanley Cup contender.

Hell, even if you want to use the Provorov trade as a comparable, Provorov returned a 1st (there's nothing here that has the value of a 1st round pick) on top of a 2nd, Sean Walker (Walker is a LOT better than Ceci) and the 2nd. Broberg is meh. He's analytically tracking to be replacement-level defenseman. Those come and go.

This is WILDLY off, or to use your logic "The Provorov and Severson trades called, they said your offer is wildly off"

I believe if the Canes ultimately end up trading Pesce, it will be in a swap for a top-6 big fish, not a package. Just my take.

Broberg is not “eh” he’s easily one of the top defence prospect in the NHL right now, Ceci is much more than a cap dump, he’s a very serviceable 2nd pair Dman that won’t break the bank and he’s signed for a couple more years.

Teams aren’t going to pay prices like provy and severs on for a guy who’s a UFA next season. So unless they wanna work out a sign and trade. An A grade d prospect and a very serviceable NHL dman plus a 2nd round pick is a fantastic return

Ceci is a cap dump. He's at best a 3rd pairing guy and he makes WAY more than he should. Broberg is meh. He's a middle-of-the-pack defensive prospect that was a reach when they drafted him. He's struggled in his development. He's meh at best. He's a B prospect at this point. A B prospect, a cap dump, and a 2nd is an awful return for arguably the best RH DFD in the world.

Broberg is a legitimate prospect/NHL player that can play both sides, has all the tools to track as a top 4 Dian and advance stats puts his at a top 4 adman, comparing Pesce as the best top shut down RHD in the game is subjective and completely false.
I’m not saying this guys trade is the trade that gets Pesce, I’m stating a fact that the Canes are not getting more than a really good prospect or player plus a pick.
No team is doing that for a guy that has one year left on his contract and won’t resign with the Canes.
Teams hands are tied.
