Definitely match, and then figure out Hagel next year. The cap should be going up by a fairly substantial margin for the 24-25 season. You could always move another contract if you have a decent replacement with a low aav. That, or CHI will take Hagel back if you can't pay him. haha

They match it. As for Hagel, they start by not signing Kampf to 2M as their 3C since that's Paul's spot if I'm not mistaken. If the cap is going up 3M+1M (they sign a cheaper guy instead of Kampf)+2M if Stamkos extends at 6.5M, they can give him a 6M raise (don't think he gets 7.5M extension if they extend him this off-season).
