Orlov is seeking $8,000,000 per and Bertuzzi at least $6,500,000 so neither are signing those. If Bertuzzi only gets $5,500,000 pretty sure he heads back to Motown.

I agree that Bertuzzi should be getting more, I thought it was too low as well. I don't really see Orlov getting 8, he's not really a #1 Dman. But a really good #2 that is 32 years old. So I can see him going for more than 6.3, but I would be surprised if he got more than 7. Most competitive teams either have a strong D-core or don't have that much cap space for him. That being said Orlov could land on a rising team (Buffalo, Ottawa etc).

The pairing wasn't a reflection on Orlov being better than Rielly. I agree Rielly is the better player. Just the pairing overall might be better that way as I don't see Schenn getting top pairing minutes.

I could see similar 6 x 6 deals for both Bertuzzi and Orlov. I agree that both probably won't get much more. unless an insane GM goes overboard for both players and it only takes one.

He has a 10 team NTC, not sure which teams are on it. I wouldn't be surprised if Arizona is on it. But the deal could be similarly structured to another team if needed.
