The Jets do this why? We are entering the inevitable retool/rebuild and those 1sts are probable lotto picks. I definitely see us taking players like Arvidsson and what not as roster players in a PLD/Scheifele

I don't see Wheeler waive the no move to go to Arizona. I also think Schmaltz can be had for less. Arizona will not want to carry his salary going forward with so much uncertainty around the franchise and very limited ticket revenue. I do absolutely believe the Jets should target him as they re-stabilize the roster!

Lebrun reported after the deadline that teams inquired about Schmaltz but due to his contract structure they decided against it but he said it was due to owners not wanting to pay the higher amount, gotta think the Jets would've been one of those teams.
I agree though that he'd be a good addition for the Jets.

Somehow i seriously doubt that Arizona is on Blake Wheeler's 5 team trade list, Nor does Wheeler and Pionk land Nick Schmaltz.
