Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

The Athletic just put out an article "15 overpriced contracts teams" are trying to get out of. I'm playing around with how some of them may look on Chicago. Not only to get to the floor but try and help insulate Bedard.

I focused on players that have no trade protection and the cash payout is lower than the cap hit. Garland is the most dicey: 3 years left, undersized, and Canucks probably not willing to part with any heavy assets to move him, but they may have to.

"Garland is the most dicey" - one hell of an understatement.

Canucks are infinitely better off keeping him than giving up a single draft pick to get rid of him.
I wouldn't even accept the trade if you just offered the 7th and removed all the Canucks' picks.
