  1. Ceci, Cody
Détails additionnels:
Edmonton needs to clear some cap, Senators could use a defensive minded RHD. Ceci isn’t bad if he’s used in a role where he plays 17-18 minutes a night.

  1. Yamamoto, Kailer
Détails additionnels:
Dubas and co love small forwards. Yamamoto could be a fit next to one of the Penguins big Centers, or a good third line piece.

EDM
  1. Jensen, Nick
Détails additionnels:
Next thing Edmonton needs is a good two way defender that can pair up with Darnell Nurse on the 2nd D pair. Jensen is an analytical darling who was easily Washingtons best defensive D. Very underrated player. Dump Warren Foegele as Washington is looking for depth forwards, Bourgault is a B prospect who won’t be much more than a third line agitator, and the first won’t be crazy valuable if Edmonton stays in cup contention.

We know what Ceci is about, he was here years ago and traded him to the Leafs to get rid of him.

Sens have Zub and JBD as defensive minded RHD, we're good.

First of all, the Caps gave Jensen an extension only a couple months ago, and teams don't trade guys right after signing them, so Jensen's not available regardless of what you offer.

As for the offer itself, the Caps are definitely not looking for depth forwards - they've got too many of them already, both on the NHL roster and percolating through Hershey, so Foegele and Bourgault wouldn't move the needle for them at all. They're looking for top 6 wingers, and possibly a top 6 center if they move Kuznetsov. Even if Jensen were hypothetically available, I don't think any of the Oilers who fit that description are a good fit for him value-wise.

JBD is not NHL ready. If anyone expects the Senators to be a playoff team next year they need someone better in their top 6.

Yes, JBD can play at the NHL level. He will be fine as 3RD. He's also much cheaper than Ceci would be in the same position (there's no way Ceci plays in Ottawa's top 4). Even if JBD isn't ready, Sens would bring back Harmonic as a 3RD, who played great last year and again, is much cheaper than Ceci.

I'm assuming this is why Oilers fan have been including him in so many mock trades: his on-ice value is much less than his contract. And cap teams can't afford to be trading for those.

The fact that you're only asking for a 5th rounder for a RD shows that you know he has little to no value to teams.

Oilers disavow you as a fan. Keep at calling Leafs players b level prospects and talking about dumping them. Edmonton gets enough of that kinda garbage from fans that call the Oilers their 1st favourite team

JBD will be fine as 3RD and the Sens simply don’t have the space to waste that much money on a mediocre Ceci to be their 6th best defenceman
