I want no part of Wright. Has bust written all over him

EDM refuses. Nuge doesn't waive his NMC and, even if he would, all that EDM "gets" is another LD, another LW, and an extra ~1.4mil in cap. A whole bunch of things they don't need.

Can't afford to keep both ullmark and Swayman, and can't bring any $ in. Need picks or ELC contract coming in, I'm willing to gamble on Wright. Reminds me a lot of Bergy how he plays, and Bruins would be good for his development.

I’m the exact opposite of you. I’d give up Ullmark and Lysell for him. would gladly give Forbort up for free.if they want him.

Swayman would sure be intriguing for any team this off-season . . . (though I will admit I was hoping Seattle would have targeted Ullmark instead of Grubauer when they were both UFA's two summers ago!!)

As much as (consistent) goaltending is still a question-mark for Seattle at times---and as much as there may be some doubts about Wright---he is only 19 and it seems far too soon to think he's likely a bust, IMO. Paying the price of their top pick in last season's draft is far too steep a price for an upgrade in net, at this point . . . given where Seattle is in its organization & coupled with the crazy uncertainty that is goaltending!!

Part of me wonders if Ullmark, Grzelcyk, and Lysell for Wright would actually work.

When I look at the free agent list of goaltenders and the number of teams that need goalies, I do believe you’ll be able to get rid of Grubauer.
