Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Army has repeatedly stated he would look to add another player aged 24-26 to the core of Thomas/Kyrou. Who would you prefer of the potentially available names? (factor in cost both in terms of acquisition cost and contract/AAV).

Clayton Keller - LW, age 24, STL boy, 5 years, $7.15M AAV
Alex DeBrincat - RW, age 25, RFA
Pierre Luc-Dubois (unlikely he wants STL) - 24 year old center, RFA
Noah Hanifin - LHD, age 24, $4.95M AAV for 23-24 then UFA
Nick Schmaltz - Center, age 27, 3 years, $5.85M AAV ($8.15M avg in salary would be why ARZ could trade)

Not sure if there are any others but feel free to comment. Scratches are potential trade chips (along with draft picks)

Hanifin, not even close between the other options. PLD has pretty much given up on two separate teams already. Keller + Schmaltz acquisition would cost too much and frankly we need to use the cap elsewhere, same thing with Debrincat.

Top targets would be Hanifin, Chabot, K'andre Miller

Wouldn't be as shocked to be honest with you. Need to do some digging on Rangers cap situation, but it's not good. Could pretty readily see Chabot being made available. Teams wanting to sell, big contract, have Chycrun and Sanderson aswell.

The only one on the list I'm somewhat interested in is Hanifin, and he could be signed for nothing next summer. Also not interested in Chabot. For me, the most diabolical option of all is offer sheeting Byram away from the Avs. Of course, we'd need to move Krug or Leddy first.

Chabots 8M contract is worse than what we currently have . Hanifin would be great. But at what cost? Would Calgary take back Maybe saad ++.

Couple of options.

Maybe like a hockey trade of Chabot for Kyrou.

If it's a futures package Scandella is probably going to have to go the other way, he's the only one without a full NTC, but still it's hard in a deal with Ottawa being a Canadian team. Would doubt Leddy or Krug would waive to go to Canada.

Maybe a hockey trade of Faulk/Parayko, but then again, that may hurt us more than it helps.
