I still don't believe we move Hart but this is what I would want. All these packages of late 1sts and mid prospects wouldn't move the needle at all to get rid of a 24 year old who has 5 NHL seasons under his belt already.

I can appreciate that. I’d prefer to keep the picks and draft 2 top 40 players in a very deep draft with those picks.

DET and the perpetual rebuild...at some point you have to bring in talent for now.

I would do this deal depending on who is there at 13, unfortunately Buffalo needs RD to, so if Reinbacher or Wallinder are there they probably take them.

That's cool, think Reinbacher or Wallinder fit what we need a bit better. And probably taking a gamble Simashev will still be there. But there's also some Decent D at the end of the 1st and throughout the 2nd to be had.

There is always free agency for that.

Just because it’s been 4 years doesn’t mean we need to stop drafting players to develop; there’s no set time limit for that. We have a great opportunity to add 5 top 40 talents in a very skilled draft and that should allow us to make the types of moves you’re eluding to Next year.
