It’s pretty fair. Taking the Peterson contract is worth at least a first. I think the Jets will hold out for Byfield in any trade for Hellybuyck. Not sure they even have to add Stanley.

The goalie market isn't nearly what you think it is. there is a 0% chance Byfield is included on a swap for Hellebuyck. Especially because he has 1 year left and will be expecting a big payday after it. You don't give away your top young player for a rental.

Not talking about the goalie market…,talking about the VEZINA goalie market. I’m pretty sure more than 1 team will see him as the missing piece to a championship and be willing to pay for him. My guess is they would try to re-sign him. Kopitars 10 m is off the books next year. Who knows but we’ll see
