Sammy is going to sign somewhere between 3-4, $3.5M seems reasonable to me. Dude is coming off a good year but he was left untendered the year before (scrap heap). He’s also an RFA - makes no sense that he could / should demand more.

just cuz he's an RFA doesn't mean he doesn't have leverage. he doesn't have to sign for anything less than he feels he's worth, which is probably around 4M-4.5M/4yrs

there is an unbelievable amount of leaf fans that despise gudas for screaming in the face of woll after holding the stick of jarnkrok and cousins scored the game 5 ot winner. i like the player personally but there's a lot of people who would rather sign almost anyone else (excluding holl & ceci)

By definition RFA means less leverage; offer sheets just don’t happen especially for goalies. And even more especially for goalies who have only had one good year. League can see what happened with Campbell, Markstrom, Pederson - it’s a flaky position. And Sammy had one good year immediately following some pretty down years (Capitals let him walk for nothing); maybe it’s because it’s the Leafs and rival fans love to wish the worst on the leafs 🤷🏻 but I don’t see it being an issue to get him signed for <$4M
