Hey we all know Nylander is worth more than that but Treliving severely overvalues Markstrom and doesn't seem to think Tanev's injury issues are a problem. He's dumb enough to do it and arrogant enough to try proving he's right about how good they are by acquiring them again!

If Treliving brings this deal to Shanahan, he fires him on the spot, and the GM search begins again. Sammy and Woll are the tandem this year.

Trading Nylander doesn’t solve leafs problems. If they trade anyone it has to be matthews, Marner or Tavares to allow more $ to be spent on lineup. I’d keep nylander based on his talent and cost.

I don't disagree but Brad will. He was willing to pay little johnny 10.5 mill per year for 8 years. He probably views Marner's 10.9 mil as a bargain. Tavares can't be traded because he won't waive and they won't trade Matthews either so that leaves Nylander.

Edit: Brad's go to excuses/solutions in alternate years are 1. blame the coach 2. blame the goalies
