Bratt alone is worth everything in this trade, not named Jesper Bratt, multipled like 3x over.


Benn is mostly negative value. Jones is definitely not really good value. And second rounders don't offer much to off set how overwhelmingly under valued you have Bratt.

New Jersey declines. Benn and a 2nd isn't getting Bratt.

Dallas also declines. Stars have 2 more years of Benn's contract. They're not taking the remaining 7 years of Jones' contract. Chicago dug that hole. They have to deal with the consequences of that contract.

As a Devils fan, I wouldn't mind at all if they did this. Bratt, Hughes, and Hischier cannot play the top 6 together and so one of them has to go. A top 6 with Meier on a Nico line and Benn on a Hughes line would be fun to watch reg season or playoffs.

this doesn't make sense for anyone except chicago. bratt is worth more than the contract of benn and a 2nd especially when they have meier to resign. and dallas isn't taking jones when they only have 2 years left of benn and he was a PPG 30 goal scorer
