For Chabot, Ott will need something high end to consider the deal. not that he is probably available anyways but if he were to be available

Chabot isn't available but that is a really poor offer for him. Jiricek and Marchenko is a nice starting point

Beauvillier could definitely be got but Boqvist is a really bad fit with Van. We have Quinn, Hronek and Bear who all profile as smallish, skilled dmen who need to be sheltered somewhat.

Really bad deal for Ottawa. Nothing high end to replace what Chabot brings to the table. Deal would set them back so far.

As much as I'd love adding Chabot, we'd need a better offer than this to get him. Can't have 23rd ovr as the best piece in a deal for a player like him. More quality, less quality. IF he was available (which is maybe a 5% chance), I'm not sure it'd happen without Jiricek going back which doesn't make sense for CBJ.

Other moves, generally like all of them a lot, though Karlsson would cost more. I don't think it's unrealistic CBJ could make a push for him given the need at C and Vegas's cap situation, but he's a good enough player that he'll still require more that a "sure you can have these spare parts" as a return. Someone will 100% outbid that offer if Vegas decides Karlsson is the cap casualty.

Last thing, I think we can do better with Boqvist. I'm not a big fan of him, but he seems to have a fair bit of value and if we're going to utilize that, I think there's better ways to spend it than a 1 year rental (even if it's a player I like) at the 1 position the team doesn't need.
