2 years would be a bridge deal, but then you run the risk of bridging miller so low that he just takes the QO and walks to UFA.
Plus if you dont include Low paying RFA years, then you end up with a massive cap hit when he gets his second contract.
Bridging has its time and place, but a guy like miller who is already a top 4 nhl defenseman, is not a valid reason to bridge.
You wanna bridge a guy like Laf, who hasn't come close to his upside, and wants to bet on himself.
You wanna bridge chytil, who was flashing here or there, but you dont wanna lock him up because he hasn't solidified himself at a position. (they then extended him once he showed he was a 2C, and buying out ufa years)
