Description

Lafreniere contract was based off the Luke Kunin signing. Kunin was older, had less points per game, and less draft pedigree. This is a discount. Even after burying Goodrow in favour of a league-minimum player (which does save 475k cap), there still isn't enough room to run an 18-man roster, let alone a 20-man roster. What do you actually do in this scenario to keep Miller? Who do you trade, and what's in it for the acquiring team?

If the Rangers let KAM get to a point he could be OSed, they are dumb.

Rangers will just buyout Goodrow, and squeeze by overall. If anything I could see the Rangers spending on a 50% retained $4-5m winger to secure top 6 offense and leave the Kid Line intact.

Thank you for making this sheet, puts a visual to the thought that I had. An offer sheet makes it near impossible for the team to continue on the path that they are on. The big contracts (Trouba, trocheck, and panarin to an extent) can really screw them up if they are not careful. I get the canes are stingy with money but they are no where close to being in cap trouble while still being a cup contender.
