Hawks accept because 1. They are getting an average backup potential goalie, and 2. Who was formerly the starting goalie for the Penguins Cup winning playoff run, and 3. Yeah he is old and no good, but he is better than their current backup, and is primarily a cap dump that the Hawks can handle.

No NHL GM is paying Toronto ANYTHING for Matt Murray! Not even a 7th! Only reason the Hawks would even consider taking Murray is to get the '23 Boston 1st. No 1st, no deal. Your argument is laughable

At most Matt would be going out with a 2nd. Matt and a 1st is laughable.
