Honestly, I think this is worse for the Sens. One year out of Hellebuyck for 2 of their most promising NHL ready prospects?

If there is no extension for Buyck then sure, agreed. But if they retain his services further than that, this is really bad for the Jets.

That's the scary part for me. Goaltenders (for the most part) after 30 can be a crap shoot. I'm a firm believer that no team should sign a goalie for more than 4 years, and over 30 no more than 3. That's still not worth it in my eyes for HB, cause I don't think he'd sign an extension in OTT.

Crap shoot? So are prospects drafted in the late 1st or later. Pinto is also RFA. Greig is likely on the AHL next year. Just because they are the Sens best prospects doesn’t mean they have great value. I’d much rather have LAs or Buffalo’s best prospects
