Value is probably right, but i think they hang on to krebs. Theres a lot of good game there and he's barely been used in his proper role yet. Plus idk how much an extra first means to us right now. Probably more likely to spend the one we have to add a piece imo.

1 year of Nylander is not worth all that. Calgary can't afford his cap hit anyways

Value is fair but Sabres are not moving a blossoming NHL player for another spin of the prospect wheel.

It's tempting, the 16th pick in a good draft, but I think I would pass. I think Krebs is going to develop into a good two way player, hopefully a good third line center, which is a need. You could twist my arm and say "third line centers should be available any number of places, use the pick on a player that might have star potential, or a d for the pipeline". It's one of the better proposals I've seen on here.

They haven't used him at all in the way that they should. They have many homegrown prospects who management favor's more. They get a pick in a deep draft or can flip to a different team for another player in a position of need.

Nylander automatically becomes Calgary's second best player, and with Lucic and Hanifins deals off the books and no real RFA's getting a boost in contracts, that gives them the necessary cap space.

Lol
1. He's still a rental, huge overpay
2. You are clearly ignoring Huberdeau's and Weegar's contracts that start this season
3. Nylander might be the 2nd best "offensive player" but he's not the 2nd best player
