* Maybe a little too Avs-centric with trade/FA signing, but seems like a fit.
* Used Vitek Vanacek as my comparable for the Samsonov extension.

Avs have $18.5M tied up in their top 3 Dmen for the next 3 years and need to sign Byram long-term. Gotta get cheaper somehow. And Nylander fills the slot left by Landeskog on LTIR for one-year. Relatively low risk, potentially high reward.

And creates two holes and fills one short term regardless of the fact COL doesn’t do the trade Toews for Nylander straight up.

Both are more likely solved with trading Girard and signing a UFA winger for a year while holding onto Byram and newhook
