Krebs and Mittelstadt are soft players that are extremely overvalued by Sabres fans. I got two legitimate third line players that bring grit and defense. That third line is a checking line which the Sabres need considering how bad they were defensively. It's a big physical line that will be physical on the forecheck and take up a lot of space in the neutral zone. Colton Sissons is a good defensive center who plays physical and wins faceoffs.

As a Preds fan that has watched probably 80% of Trenin and Sissons career games, they are not worth nearly this much. Mittlestadt is becoming a solid player in his role, and Krebs is young and has shown upside. Makes ZERO sense for BUF

The 2023 playoffs I am watching are constantly demonstrating how important speed, aggressive forechecking and specialty teams are. Your free agent signings suggest you're watching videos of the 2010 playoffs when Perry and Lucic were relevant and impact players.

Corey Perry is a great playoff player to have and if you don't like that addition I couldn't care less. You still need an enforcer in the lineup like Lucic when you're going to play Ottawa a few times a season. The fourth line isn't going to play that much but they bring a element this team needs. And that third line is a good checking line. You want this team to continue to be soft and lose 7-6 games. This team would be better defensively and can win playing any style of hockey.
