A couple things for me.

1. 4x4 isn't happening for Bouch. It sounds like they'll either want to bridge under 2 years (4 mil acceptable then) or go 5+ for 5+ mil.
2. I like Compher but I'd rather see us try to add another top 6 winger than a 3C just because Nuge can always flex down or McLeod up, and the Ryan 4C. Imo Top 6 winger > 3C and for that money I'd rather fill out the right side D than add more in FA to the top 6.
3. I like the Soucy signing but I just don't know that he fits on our team anymore, I'd rather see them target Gudas on the right side to play with Broberg or Kulak and maybe find a way to get Severson or someone else to play RD with Nurse. Like I'd rather take the money you spent on Soucy and Compher and spend it on Severson and Gudas.
4. I like Yamo and Ceci leaving. Assume we could get more out of both than what you did but thats nit-picking.
5. I like Wade good value, I'd also like to see them target Entwistle on CHI
6. I don't see them trading both Kulak and Foegele, and especially not in division. I also don't see Seattle trading Tolvanen so that trade is bad to the extent that it doesn't make sense for either team...

Contracts look a little low. Bouchard is getting 3 to 4M more and 8 years. Soucy is probably looking at 3.5 to 4.5 for a contract. At 2.5 Seattle probably brings him back.

Seattle passes on the trade. Too good of a contact on Tolvanen right now, and bringing in $4M in contracts for him doesn't seem beneficial. Seattle has enough wingers. Defense they'll solve internally or find a value trade.

I like what both your points. The JT Compher signing is based on my belief that I think Raphael Lavoie might be “the answer” in the Top 6. I like the signing of Connor Brown so that it’s not completely given to him and he hasta battle with a vet to get there. Compher would be an absolute beast on this team and could be flexed up and down the lineup.

I like Tolvanen but you are both right and further inspection I doubt Seattle does that deal. I’ll do some more digging and see if I can find another bottom six target that makes more sense.

Last I heard was Severson is looking for 6x6. That’s not saying that he’ll for sure get that, but I don’t think the Oilers will be able to afford that right now. He would be my ideal get but I don’t see how the money can work. In all honesty my number 1 option is the former Oiler draft pick John Marino, but he just signed an extension with NJ and I doubt they would give him up.
