Ostlund, as 2022/16OA with a positive year of development in the SHL, is worth more than a late first (2023/25OA) both in terms of raw talent and timeline. I understand that you may not have walked to the podium and said his name -- but he's a very valuable piece.
Assuming both players would re-sign with Buffalo on reasonable terms, I see the values as:
Hellebuyck >= 2023/13, UPL, B-prospect
Ostlund >= DeMelo
with the inequalities roughly balancing (maybe only slightly in favor of Buffalo).
Jets would only make a move like this if they were convinced that they couldn't bring Hellebuyck back. If he could be kept, we wouldn't even be talking. With all the GMs knowing that, I can't imagine that any team would offer a better all-futures deal.
