Karlsson is better than Tavares and it isnt close. Grier laughs and rejects. The trade is moronically bad. I know leafs fans are essentially **** but at least give an effort.

Probably, yes but they are both Elite at their positions and Colorado has a ton of D men.

I figured that an exipring contract to get Minten is a good deal for them.

Im not sure about that. Karlson Deal is 4 years and Tavares is only 2 years, whens the last time they had playoff revenues? Getting Brody's expiring deal and he can still play they have much more options for a young team. I mean all of these are hypothetical but its not crazy to swap a perennial 30 plus goal scorer for that anchor of a contract.

Could you imagine Mitch Marner on the wing with Rantanen and Mckinnon though......Deadly. Of all the trades this is definitely the most far fetched but stranger things have happened when you get knocked out in the first by an expansion team.

Minten is going to be a stud. Calgary knows this as he plays in the W,

Minnesota will decline. They aren't trading a good , cheap young player like connor dewar, nor adding picks for Injury prone prospect three years in a row. Connor dewar is also a C

Ya great player but they could use a potential 40 goal scorer, if he hits they win.

He's won 5 individual awards AND the cup before he turned 23...Marner is elite at his position - in the regular season.

No he hasn't done anything. Connor isn't available. They aren't trading around c for injury prone winger prospect they don't need

That would be the best line in hockey I won't deny that. And go ahead and take shots at the Avs lol. They lost in the 1st round because about 5 guys who were on their cup-winning roster were sitting in the press box injured.

That's the easiest decline on here for the Avs I've ever seen but then I should have guessed there'd be some silly trades coming from TOR fans after the exit. Congrats on topping the fans of MTL & VAN, I didn't think it could be done.

Look at all the players that leave Toronto and win. It isnt an individual that causes this team to lose its the culture, city and unfortunately the fans. Marner is elite as they come and like I mentioned before they do have a very good backend without Makar. I agree its far fetched that they would ever trade him due to his success but its hypothetical anyways. If Marner played on any other team he wouldn't be discounted like he is due to other fans hate of the leafs. Marner is a stud, so is Makar. Stranger things have happened.

Or the fact their 2nd line center they got from "TML" is in Calgary.

It's a combination of factors including those you mentioned plus top players just not performing, being overrated and so on, and TOR not building a team and relying on individuals, making big splashes to appease the fans etc, etc. Makar would not be traded for Marner without at least a few firsts being added. Top 10 RHD on that kind of deal simply wouldn't get moved for a RW on an expiring deal, and Colorado's strong back end gets seriously weakened if he's moved.
