Not sure what you fixed, getting better draft lottery odds? That meyers trade isnt happening without a bigger pay out or some retention if you thought it was your cap.

Myers is only owed $1m in actual money after his signing bonus is paid. A deal like this to a team just fighting to get to the cap could be very reasonable. Arizona should be all over Myers and pick up a 3rd round pick for virtually nothing.

No reason for an unprovoked trade of Blake Lizotte. Los Angeles needs a 2023 first, not a 2023 late third. (Before any idiots misconstrue this, no, I'm not saying that Lizotte is anywhere near a first-round draft pick.)

No, Anaheim will take a 2024 fourth for Myers in return for Future Considerations once Myers' $5 million signing bonus is paid in the summer. With only Jamie Drysdale on that side currently under contract, we need a warm body to play #3RhD, and Myers has both size and NHL experience.

Just have been seeing some Lizotte trades recently for next to nothing, but doesn't LA have a bunch of prospects in the pipeline that may compete for those bottom 6 spots as well?

Lizotte has played himself up from #4C to #3C so well that Quint Byfield has been moved from center to #1 LW. Yes, we have kids like Turcotte, Madden, Helenius and Pinelli (maybe even Jack Hughes the Second) coming up, but until they force Lizotte out, he's here to stay. (Fiala - Lizotte - Vilardi at the end of the season was a pretty good-looking line, allowing us to play Iafallo - Kupari - Kaliyev as our fourth.)

Let us know when you can donate Lizotte to us when the kids come up cause guys like him don't grow on trees!
