Détails additionnels:
Coleman would be a solid bottom 6 center that would help in the playoffs

Hanifin would fit well in the top 4

Ruzicka would be a decent young bottom 6 forward

Wolf is probably an unrealistic target but Markstrom has 3 more years and Vladar has 2. Calgary also needs help on the wing, and for Toronto, Wolf is arguably the best goalie prospect right now.

Thats 9 wingers with 8 spots. Even with swapping out Coleman for Marner that's still over the allowed limit unless one moves to center.

Marner alone would be way to much for those players even with him needing an extension. Domi for long term no thank you that dude is like night and day, this roster is just bad, moving the core 4 isn't going to fix the problem it's as simple as that.

I think a just as equal reason is Dustin Wolf seems to be a serious goalie of the future and trading him for another hella expensive winger just seems like a bad way to have a good team all around.

Don't want to end up like Edmonton 2+ years ago where you have two great players but are horrendous everywhere else (especially goaltending).

Calgary has significantly less cap room than Toronto so Flames can't take this trade even if they wanted to

Minnesota declines, because Hartman is their 1c and cap situation

There's no way you actually watch the wild or hockey.

I do. Hartman has been Minnesota's 1c..do some research as everyone states on here, Hartman has been Minnesota's 1c by default last couple of years.

Guerin also knows they aren't winning a cup with Hartman as a 1c, so if offered 1st rounder you take it for when cap allows you to be more competitive and some of these draft picks mature into NHL'ers

LOL, Lindgren isn't more? Your argument is to wait until the deadline for exact same damn thing and you better hope he's productive and healthy! Not worth the gamble and no NHL team is giving you a first rounder for Hartman

Do more research about the d prospect, he's not good. Wild will easily get a 1st at deadline

I'd definitely do it as Calgary if Marner was signed to an extension. Just getting rid of the Coleman contract is a huge plus in my eyes, goalies are voodoo, Ruzicka has potential but needs to figure things out, and Hanifin is a UFA.

I'm tempted even without the extension, but that's a huge gamble. Also, for cap implications TOR would likely need to retain $1M on that trade, or replace Marner with Nylander.

EDIT: Coleman is not a center, he plays RW, but can also play LW.
