Golly will be 38 when next season begins. He was a healthy scratch down the stretch and in the playoffs.

Goligoski the player has value. I believe he's absolutely still good enough to play in the NHL -- and with a price tag of $2 million for only one more year, I think Guerin will be able to find a dance partner rather easily. But nobody is going to give up anything of value to acquire him. Low-level prospect or 7th rounder is my guess.

At this point Goligoski doesn’t have any value as a player which is why as you stated he was being healthy scratched down the stretch and in the playoffs.

The fact that the original offer had Chicago offering two 2nd round picks for a 37 year old d-man is beyond ridiculous.

I bet Goligoski will be traded to another team for a 4th round pick in this year’s draft.

Goose is going to get traded but probably for first line center, Future Considerations.
