You lost all 3 trades and buying out Campbell is a dumb idea as it saddles the Oilers with dead cap through basically their entire Cup window. And after posting a 21-9-4 record, why would they buy him out anyhow?

he's absolute ****. helen keller would be a better option. id rather pay Campbell 1.5 mil to stay home than 5 to eat cap space on a team with literally no money

And that's why you aren't a GM. Handicapping the team with dead money for 8 years is stupid. And it's not like he was leaving a lot of standings points on the table either.

Ken Holland simply won't throw Campbell out like that. He'll give Campbell another year before making a decision.
