Send Mantha to ANA or CHI. AZ doesn't have the money to spend on Mantha. He's owed more than his cap hit next year. You can probably drop a 3rd as it should only take a 2nd to dump Mantha...imo.

Well, for starters, you should use the 2023-2024 framework, not this season's -- among other things, you can just sign Michael Bunting as a free agent instead of having to trade for him.

Like I said in the summary, this is the first time I'm making one of these so I'll know better for next time and yeah that was the basic idea for Bunting I just didn't know what else to add to the Tom Wilson trade as I think there needs to be more value on TOR's end for the trade to work.

Well fair enough but I'd like to know what you think the Caps should do then. Personally, I think the Caps need more Offense coming from the defense as Fehervary, Jensen and TVR are all basically DFD. I thought Gost had a good season and is still playing well for CAR in the playoffs, wouldn't mind seeing him in the TOP 4 for WSH. We also need to shed some Salary somewhere and I'm not as big on Tom Wilson as most Caps fans so I wouldn't be upset if he was moved but I know the Caps wouldn't do it.

They have plenty of offense form the backend now with Sandin in the mix.

Keep Mantha to see if the new coach actually utilizes him properly. Don't mind moving him but not paying to move him unless Caps desperately need the space to add a great player.

I love Wilson but also wouldn't mind if he was traded, just don't think that trade really helps the Caps at all. If you're trading him to TOR either Nylander or Knies need to be involved. Any Wilson trade needs to have a massive return.

The only thing this team actually needs is at least one top end top 6 forward. Bunting isn't it. Need to go after Nylander, Ehlers, Bratt/Meier, etc. Someone young and very good.

I can agree that we can see how Mantha plays with a new coach for sure, if anything I'd be great to not have to trade him honestly.

I didn't really know what or who to trade Tom Wilson to, I only chose Toronto since he's from there. Not too many realistic trades to make from both rosters that's why I added Bunting in there. I'm also personally not a fan of Bunting but just needed something in there to fit the value.

I don't see any chance that Meier gets moved, I would be shocked if Bratt does as well but I would love to see Nylander or Ehlers on the Cap's. I also agree that we need someone younger and very good.
