Habs decline. They have a pick that could land them someone like Will Smith or better depending on the lottery and I think that far outweighs taking a risk on laf. Definitely understand the thought process behind this trade tho.

at this point his value is so low Rangers are better off qualifying him and hoping he gets off to a good start next year. 0 points in 7 games is not a good look.

MTL might be willing to part with a second for him at this point. At the very most, FLA's first this year

Mtl second round pick seen to produce interesting player front the last few recent years so I would reluctant to use it but there still could be something to do to acquire Lafreniere.

The question is with all the young prospect we got, is there still a place to add Lafreniere??
