Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Tough off-season for kings as they're likely over the cap without resigning Korpisalo Gabrikov and Edler (barring any trades). 10M for a year for Kopitar isn't great, 5M for 2 years for Peterson an AHL goalie is horrendous and worse yet, Doughty's got 4 years left at 11M. Personally I almost feel like they should try to move some of these contracts, mainly Doughty if they retain half and get maybe a couple solid picks. Plus the kings have some solid young d men coming up (particularly Clarke) so I don't think this loss would be the end of the world for their d core. Plus even if their defence struggles for a bit, they've got some of the most defensive forwards in the league to help out back there. Also forgot to mention they're still well over the cap in this so they'd have to make some adjustments to make it work.

Yeah I wouldn't be surprised if walker got traded I just wanted to make one without any trades. I think Vilardi is worth much more than 3 mil keep in mind that contract's for 4 years and he's only 23

Vilardi is going to get the Kempe bridge deal (3 years @ $2M), probably adjusted for inflation. Both guys had similar performances at that point of their careers. My guess is 3 years @ $2.25M.

Yeah ig that makes sense seems like a real good deal tho. As an oilers fan sure hope that doesn't happen haha

Nah my guy plays a ton of minutes but man was he invisible come playoff time. There is no way you mean to tell me this clown deserves 11 mil a year, second highest among defencemen and seventh highest in the league. Let alone for another four years. This contract is as good as Nurse's is

Most people mistake him for an offensive defenseman. He is not. He is one of the best defensive defensemen in the league, who also happens to put up 50 points per season.

He didnt look like an 11 million dollar dman this playoff. He wasnt even the best dman in the series. Bouchard and Ekholm were better and some would say Roy and Gavrikov were better. Dont be such a homer

Even if he did have a poor playoff series (I disagree), players aren't paid in the playoffs. He just finished one of the best seasons of his career.

Doughty and Anderson got the toughest matchups in the hardest situations against the Oilers (who are now the Stanley Cup favorites by the way).
