I do think this is a massive overpay for Saros. Maybe Saros for Cat 1-for-1...

If NSH trades Saros, they're trying to tank, not compete. They wouldn't want DeBrincat.

Compher seems like an expensive luxury, when NSH has plenty of cheap, young middle six center options in house (Glass, Novak, Pärssinen, Svechnikov).

I don't think a Saros trade is necessarily a sign of tanking, I think Askarov is ready for that jump based on when I've seen him play he just needs to keep his cool and not overplay. Saros trade opens up cap space especially if they're getting DeBrincat or Meier in return

I would have to disagree, Saros almost carried Nashville to the playoffs and is one of the best goalies in the league right now, Cat only potted 27 last year.

G have a fraction of the value of other position. a 2n and a c or B prospect or 2 2nd is what saros is worth at most
