The trade doesn't make sense for OTT. Swayman will be looking for a big raise and with Norris coming back to the Sens next year, they will have to wait out on signing Swayman. If they choose to trade DeBrincat, they may look to instead resign Brännström and keep Talbot. I don't think that OTT would give up Pinto either.

Pinto has more value than swayman, OTT passes

Swayman numbers over the last 3 years are top 10 among all goalies. Shane Pinto put up 35pts playing 15:59 a night. We had Trent Frederic put up 31pts playing 4 less minutes a night.

G have a fraction of the value of other positions. take out Pinto and it would be a fair deal

Its funny that goaltending has a fraction of the value, but if you look at the playoffs teams this year, 13 of the 16 were Top 15 in SV% this year. Of the Top 10 teams in SV% only 1 of them didn't make the playoffs. I look at Ottawa and they finished 7pts out of a playoff spot and were ranked 20th in SV% on the season. Looking at OTT's 3 main goalies this season (min 15gp):

Forsberg: -1.76 GSAA
Talbot: -5.46 GSAA
Sogaard: -7.82 GSAA

Maybe, just maybe goaltending is undervalue in the NHL. If you look at previous 10-12 Stanley Cup winners, many had very good goaltending.

Surely you jest. Swayman has been a top five goalie in the league this year. Pinto is, kind of a nice upside guy that’s pretty unproven.

They move ullmark before swayman. This just is so far away from any realistic realm.
