Clifton could get 2.5M-3M IMO

This would be an absolutely awful trade for Detroit: both fulfillment wise and price wise.

This is so bad. What's with the Varly AAV? More like 4 mil. Clifton gets more. Likely 3-4 mil. UFA RD are in demand. Laine trade? Yikes. Chiasson gets league minimum. No Soderblom? I don't really want Suter back but won't be angry if he's re-signed.

20 man roster won't work. You didn't re-sign RFA's Veleno and Lindstrom.

Also, Laine just isn't worth that contract imo. Sure he is big and can score 30 goals. But for $8.7 million a year, at least be a PPG player. Would be a horrible move for the Wings.

Suter is one of the best pk guys in the league according to some article I read awhile back. That said this seems like alot for him.

I'm fine either way. Suter has grown on me. I'd just like to see the team get bigger and nastier to play against.

No thanks on the Laine trade, the guy is made of glass. he's already been injured 3 times this season. No way would i be paying assets like that for a guy who has health issues. While he could be the sniper we need. his health is more of a liability than an asset.

I do agree with the bigger and nastier. That's why I try and target guys like Hathaway and Foligno. Pionk would be a nice add as he gets alot of hits. Schenn would also be a good add.

My fantasy trade is acquiring Konecny but I don't expect it'll happen.

He would be nice but cost too much I think. Just need to draft some guys that bring that style of play.

Only thing I'd add is that Varlamov would be UFA at the same time as Husso. That doesn't work, it leaves serious exposure without a goalie signed. Cossa might be ready, but that's a big ask for a 1st or 2nd year goalie.

I'd do Laine for Berggren, Zadina, and a 2nd. I doubt Columbus does that though. Laine is pretty hard to move with the contract.
