Romanov is Sorokin’s best friend. The isles need to dig. Sorokin to an extension this summer. Therefore, he will not be traded. Also, Phillip Broberg hasn’t been good this year. Doesn’t produce offensively, and his role difficulty isn’t high either.

Broberg has been good defensively and will definitely come together offensively with more ice time. Romanov was by far our worst defenceman defensively and all around.

Romanov has a positive goal differential at 5 V 5 and even strength with Ryan Pulock and Noah Dobson. The issues he’s had are entirely because of the 500 some odd minutes he played with Scott Mayfield. Btw, Mayfield has had a negative goal differential with Sebastian Aho, Adam Pelech and Alexander Romanov at 5 V 5 and even strength.

Romanov had been miscast as the issue when the real issue over the past 30-40 games has been Mayfield.

I like that deal for Edmonton.

Holland refused to include Broberg in a potential Chychrun deal, he sure as hell isn't trading him for Romanov.

Also - "Broberg hasn't been good this year"?? You obviously haven't seen him or even looked up his stats.

I never intended to imply that Edmonton would make this trade. Also I didn’t mean to be overly critical of Broberg’s play. Just waiting for more offense out of him tbh.
