different idea

not saying i want this but it seems to me goodrow is gone and next year, lindgren is gonna want money. his value right now is at its highest and he is one of the most underrated d men in the league. if we package him and goodrow to a playoff team looking to take the next step , we could probably get some value back.

    IDK if Minnesota will be able to take the cap back. They only have 13m to replace/resign some key players just like NYR

    the trade is based on the idea of trading 2 players, lindgren and goodrow, to a team that is at the start or about to start competing for the cup. lindgren is at a high value and can get a big return. minny might not have the cap but a team like buff or seattle seems likely to me

    Lindgren to Toronto or another defensively impaired team would work best. Should be able to fetch a 1st for him. NYR just need to focus on drafting defenseman (yet again) as there stable is running thin

    i think that with jones and robertson being ready next season, lindgren is expandable. jones looks just like a fox lite. robertson like a trouba lite. i like what we have and if they do turn out like they look, we will be good. just more depth at those positions never hurts

    Lindgren is not worth Rossi and 1st or similar from another team. Could he return a 1st? Probably, but he won't also get a top 20 prospect in the league on top of that.
