2. NSH already has Josi and Barrie who are very Offensive minded dmen so they take a hard pass on DeAngelo

Easy pass for the Avs and it's not even close.

That's a very tempting offer for Los Angeles.

My initial thought would be Coots to the avs as the 2nd center, but couldn't think how to get it to work as we would not be retaining any salary and the return would be more. Yes I know you'll probably come back with Coots has not played all year and been injured, but Coots behind MacKinnon would probably be the best 2C I can see the avs getting less than 8m, but again I just couldn't think i could get the salary and return right

Couturier (healthy) would probably be one of my ideals so yes you're right the injury is a concern but not a major one. I can't really see how it could work for either team though and doubt very much that the Flyers would want to move him anyway. The cap hit for that length of time however might also be an issue to the Avs.

Sanheim doesn't work for LA.
