But I do think Karlsson's defensive ability is underrated. And they just added Ekholm too, so things should be better going forward.

Erik's defensive ability is massively underrated. The reason he has the+/- he has is because the Sharks activate him in the o-zone so heavily that he is pressured to play almost strictly offense. Last two years he was on the PK almost every game before this season. He's also always on the ice for the last two minutes with the net empty trying to tie the game. And EN goals are always scored hence the Sharks GA differential stats being so horrible.

With Erik Edmonton becomes a very scary team and that PP1 unit would be so unfair.
