He's an RFA he's going to cost more than Benning. Sharks already have entire team of depth forwards. Literally no interest here, and Benning is MUCH more valuable

Jeannot probably won't sign that cheap. I find it very unlikely we trade Colton at this point in his career and where the team is at. I don't want Wood on this team

San Jose doesn’t really have a need for a 3C whereas they only have Karlsson and Benning as right shots on defense. Colton I think will make more than people think, he has arbitration rights and scored 22 goals last year and could hit 20 again this year.

As for Bennings value, he’s had an up and down year but still having one of the better seasons of his career. I think the real value is he’s a good physical defender with a cheap contract, which likely holds most the value.
