Can someone explain this deal to me? This guy has a .905 SV% in the ECHL. Did they just want to have a 6th string goalie or a contract they can give up in a trade?

hey i saw this guy play for the K-Wings

He was okay at the ECHL level. AHL level... it remains to be seen.

In the event the Moose make the playoffs, they want to have extra goalies outside the AHL so that they can recall one for the playoffs to be the 3rd string / practice goalie

good for him. We have yet to see him develop, but there isn't much risk to this outside of a contract slot, and the contract can likely be terminated if *absolutely* necessary.
