This would turn into a failed version of the VGK project.

The Jets aren't trading PLD at a discount and taking back a bad contract without Montreal paying them to do so. Very unrealistic.

His NTC only be avalable at July 1st 2023, and I think the Dubois trade will be made at the Draft Day (June 28).

1st, I will not call Dvorack as a bad contract, he will likely have a 40pts season this year (and so many players have the same type of stats, but with a 6M range contract).

2nd, the Jets are now in a dificult situation: they know that he want to sign as a free agent with the Habs, and the leaugue know the same thing. That's means other teams in the league will not want to make a big trade offer for him, because he will likely only ask a 1 year contract deal and after leaving for the Habs. Just looks somes trades like Meier, Kane, Tarasenko and Fiala (last offseason): teams gived a 1st, but they didn't gived somes decent big prospects.

1) you wouldn't call Dvorak a bad contract, because you are a Montreal fan, but he absolutely is. On Winnipeg, at best he's a 3W or in all likelihood an overpaid 4C. To Winnipeg he has no value, he's a waste of cap space and a roster spot. You have to pay Winnipeg to take him and retain.

2) this is your fantasy, which unfortunately for you, isn't supported by reality. Dubois has never said anything close to what you are fantasizing that he had said. He has said, winning is the most important thing to him, so that basically rules Montreal out.

The Jets will just trade him to a team where he is willing to extend and get a good return, if they need to trade him.

Vegas have traded all their players who got drfated by them for somes assets. Here, with the Habs, they traded somes picks and somes good prospects, but they have too much pontetial good young players on D (Guhle, Harris, Xhekaj, Barron, Hutson and Mailloux) and I 100% don't belive all of them will gonna play with the Habs. Plus, Montreal keep 8 players who will have 24 or under. I don't think can be comparable.

When you have somes reporters like Frideman, Dreger, etc. who said that the Dubois scenario to Montreal is extremly possible, it's 100% an realistic posibility. Also, it's not the first time that the rumour about Dubois wanted to play for the Habs: it's like the third times (the first rumour was happen during the 2016 NHL Draft, the second rumour was happen before he got traded to Winnipeg for Laine, the third time is somes days after the 2022 NHL draft).

But the funniest part is did you really think he will said publicly to Jets media that he want to leave Winnipeg and play for the Habs ? 100% no, he can't, he have a contract signed with the Jets.

Sure it's a possibility, it's just not a forgone conclusion as you are assuming.

It's kind of funny that you expect everyone to disregard what PLD has actually said and only place value on statements that he had never made and are only fantastical assumptions on your part.

It's equally hilarious that we're only supposed to believe things that PLD's agent inferred and fit your narrative, because "his agent said them it must be true". Yet in the same post were supposed to ignore things PLD actually said if they don't fit your narrative, "winning is the most important thing".

That and how you've twisted his agent making an offhand comment of "sure, he might like playing for Montreal someday" when cornered with the question, into PLD himself has come out and made it publicly known "I will only play for Montreal next season and in the future for whatever they deem fair to pay me."

It's just an extremely illogical and unrealistic stretch.
