They can ask for that, but I don’t see them getting one. With the exception of Tampa blowing up the market, JVR is not better than Tarasenko, Horvat or Meier who all revolved around firsts.

As for the other two deals, I think Ghost with no retention only gets them a pick. Nashville has already shown they’re selling and they get a young LD with term and RFA expiry that Trotz already knows.

You want Trenin, at least offer one of Aho or Bolduc
You take the worse one out of the 3 for a guy you are trying to acquire
In top of that, NSH have Josi Ehkolm McDonaugh & Lauzon

So why trading a regular for a guy not needed ?

Maybe Bolduc vs Trenin so he can develop in the AHL, but Salo won't do it

My bad, I just grabbed the most recent quote. I thought Ghost would fetch a little more honestly but given no salary retention a third kind of made sense. And after the Chychrun trade, I think Bill Armstrong is just stockpiling draft picks
