I think every team just saw what Jeannot got in a return and guys that play like him (Crouse, Anderson, etc) are going to be used for that type of return now, which sadly means this trade doesn't have enough value for both JC and Crouse

Vancouver getting anything for Boeser while he's making more than $5m would be doing them a huge favour. And Buffalo could really use some guys that can help keep the puck out of the net, Boeser is the opposite of that.

Thats a good point, but it still akes two to tango. They can ask for that much but not many teams are going to, or are in a place to, make a sell-the-farm overpay trade like that to win a bidding war.

I think Arizona would be crazy not to take that even though it's not as insanely big of a W as Nashville just posted.

GM's who think the Jeannot trade is a benchmark are delusional. Tampa got fleeced. No chance Buffalo trades all their high picks in such a loaded draft. IMO we are better off addressing our defense than trying to bring in more forwards to our group. Peterka and Quinn can help bolster the offense with the increased ice-time they should see with Tuch's injury and Hino is a great fit alongside Cozens. I'm not worried about the goal scoring, but I am worried about how to keep the puck out of our net

That's why I have been of the opinion for Buffalo to just get a veteran depth dman. Show the team you believe in them but really all you're giving up is like a 3rs for a guy to play 3rd pairing. Best route for them to go

One game does not make a season, but Cozens between HInostroza and Mittelstadt was pure magic.
Quinn will never make anyone forget Tuch, but played as well as could be expected.

Here are my big bold preditions for next season: Quinn will get close to 30 goals.
Olofsson is traded in the off season and either Savoie or Kulich will take his place.
Possible line up:
Skinner-Thompson-Tuch
Mittelstat-Cozens-Quinn
Peterka-Savoie-Kulich
Girgensons-Krebs-Rousak (I know my captain could be gone)
Jost
As you said, add a defenseman, and with Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen who knows what next year will bring.
The following year there are other options with Rosen, and Ostlund playing well.
Nadeau, and Poltepov may be NHL candidates, let's not rush the rebuild.

You don't have Quinn in that lineup... Kulich could probably play another season in the AHL. Nadeau would need a year in the AHL. Rousek is ready for 4th line duties in the NHL

Opps, I knew I was missing someone.
That woul leave Jost in the press box which is probably OK.
