There’s nothing there to make Anaheim want to do this unless I’m missing something

Have you looked up the 3 prospects? Berezkin in the KHL, Mazura playing NCAA, and Wanner in the WHL

They're all C level prospects who are almost guaranteed to flame out before the show, if not earlier, so again, why do we retain 14+ million over 4+ seasons for a division rival for a grab bag of your lowest tier prospects, Pool Party, a future 2nd, and a 6th?

We disagree on the prospects so theirs not much else to talk about. Where players were drafted doesn't play into my opinion of their value outside of the 1st rounders, and especially 2 seasons after.

Puljujärvi's gone at the end of the season if they don't want him.

I wouldn't call Moore, Thrun, or Janicke C level prospects now. Perbix maybe

I made it to 2/3 and they’re 5th and 6th round prospects whos numbers are underwhelming and are 21 and 22

I know their numbers and when they were drafted.

Do you think the Ducks would trade Moore, Janicke, Thrun and a couple late picks if the Oilers could take Silverberg?

Beryozkin is a goal scoring power forward with below average skating who has this far managed 0.5 PPG at the KHL level, middle six upside if it works out, but he's a project.

Mazura has played 34 NCAA games since his draft day and put up 13 points, that was 3.5 years ago. He is a longshot to make the NHL ever, pet alone as a contributing factor.

Wanner is at least intriguing as a stay at home RD with size, but you also just selected him as a 7ty a year ago and he hasn't had to up his game yet by jumping up a league like the other two have. Could be something, probably nothing.

I'll give you credit, you picked "Verbeek Guys" with the size across the three of them, but they are each from the bottom levels of the Oilers draft pool at their respective positions. We just traded away Hunter Drew to Chicago, who is of the same style as all the prospects you proposed, but was frankly better than all of them, yet we didn't feel as an organization that he was going to make the roster. I don't think any of those three prospects make the NHL, at which point, we retained 14+ million on Karlssson for a future 2nd, a 6th, and Puljujarvi, it's not a deal the Ducks consider, or anyone else for that matter.

I looked at the retention in the Brent Burns trade, and increased from that.

Please stop repeating the same thing as an argument. I've said I know who the players are, and it doesn't matter how many ways you explain them to me, I still know. Without new information how do you suppose you can change someone's mind?

I'm making the point that a grab bag of your lowest value prospects, a guy you're not going to QO, and a couple of picks doesn't cover 14 million in retention. Burns didn't require 3rd party retention, so it's not an applicable comparison. We're not going to subsidize the payroll for a division rival for a box of scraps.

If you think that IS worth it then you are seriously overvaluing your prospects and/or seriously undervaluing the cost of retention.

My thought was that Carolina getting Burns and Pederson is only slightly less valuable then a team taking on 6 million more then the Sharks over 4 seasons.
