Seems odd to me that Holtz's name has never come up in rumours, just random media mock-trades. It wouldn't blow my mind if he isn't apart of the deal simply because Grier isn't high on him.

Although perhaps Grier is just trying to downplay Fitz's offer to get more out of him, who knows.

aaand with VGK acquisition of Barbashev, it seems as if the Timo sweepstakes are finally over. Now to see how close/far everyone has been to the actual trade.

They definitely have the cap space to get both. Barbashev + Meier is still like $1m less than Stone's contract even without retention.
