You're implying here that Provorov and Konecny are worth nearly as much as Meier. This is not the case.

Not saying the prices are fair, but TK to Minnesota makes a lot of sense for their cap hit issues.

Additionally, St Louis could use a minutes eating dman like Provy who can play against other teams top 2 lines. He has lost his scoring touch this year but he has put up points more times than not in his career. I think it's mostly due to Torts system and his usage.

I would say if you took away the 2024 2nd and 2025 1st, added a '24 mid round pick (3rd), and a prospect, would be fair TK.

For Provy, maybe two '23 firsts are a bit high, but he is under control for several years, is only 26, and has a very fair AAV. St Louis has also said they are looking for a quick rebuild and targeting players who are 25-27. I would say 1 of the '23 first, and '24 1st, a prospect, and maybe a salary to take back.

Holy! Provy is not worth that much! He has two years left at 6.75 not several years. His cap hit is about right but its not like he's a steal at 6.75. Thered have to be money going back the other way then MAYBE they get A 1st (one of the later ones.) Or some middle picks and B/C prospects.

Which actually benefits the Blues so it's not a long term type commitment, and you can either re-sign him if he performs like a top 2 dman, or re-sign him for less to be a 2nd/3rd pairing guy. he's young and plays almost 30 minutes a game, those type of dman are valuable. Especially when you consider the team he is on.
