can we even get a 3rd for Asplund? hes been healthy scratched most of the year. I have a hard time believing the stars would do that

Buffalo does the deal with NSH to upgrade bottom six and add a RH PMD to top 6.
NSH wants to move a D and the 2/VO is to get Jeannot. They would move him for the right cost (articles written say just that)
MIN would move Greenways money for anything I’d wager and I needed to move a body out for roster.
As far as asplund I wanted to keep him but instead of waiving him for nothing I tried to get something

At this point Greenway would be an extra forward and in and out of the line up somewhat similar to what he is now in Minny. If that was the cost I’d just waive Bryson there’s no way he’s worth a 2 currently with his contract and play. It was more of a flier on a guy with history with Granato to see if he can get anything out of him. MIN is looking to move that contract and I bet they’d do it for a young player or mid to late pick. I flip flopped btw Bryson or Asplund for the deal and honestly you could do either.

Greenway plays every night on the third line, so I have no idea what you're talking about. You're not getting him for either of those guys.

Wasn’t he healthy scratched for discipline reasons a couple weeks ago? And an article written today by team bloggers says that he’s most likely going to be scratched next for poor play and the team is actively looking to move him. The only reason they haven’t scratched him more is they don’t want to damage an already damaged return.

First of all, if you get your news from bloggers, you're doing it wrong.

Greenway is a flawed player, but if he wasn't, the ask would be a lot higher than a second. He's still a third liner that plenty of teams would love to get. It's not a situation where you're the only one that wants to "take a flier on him" so you can get him for a 7th D/13th F. Offer some actual value.

Most minny fans are completely overvaluing their players for some reason. In no world is Greenway worth a 2nd. Lets be real, dude has 6 pts...6!! on the 3rd line! He is also 26 and has discipline issues. Come on man, be real, at best they get a 3rd for him or a player of similar stature. I agree with the knarf, Aspund has more points than Greenway in only 27 games and he is younger. If you are a Minny fans you need to take off the love goggles and accept that your players aren't as valuable as you think.
