Yeah saw that too. I would think a 2nd gets it done right?? Unless they just are not going to move him. He may be more expensive due to his RFA status this off season however that could allow them to flip him if they can't resign him. I really think that could be the last piece that really makes this team strong!

Here's the problem with Jeannot - it sounds like Nashville wants to keep him and is only gonna trade him if they can't agree on an extension. If they can't agree on an extension, that means he's probably asking for $$$$$ - maybe $1.5m - $2m?? Rangers can't afford that for a 4th line guy next year. So you're only getting him to be a rental - it's essentially the same thing as the Timo Meier problem, just much much MUCH smaller.

They could just trade him in the off-season, shouldn't be hard.

I think the rangers could afford 2 mill for him and make him the 3RW. They’d have to get rid of Goodrow tho, which will probably happen regardless.
