That VAN trade is downright horrible for you guys. Not much upside in most of these trades

It's really bad. Olofsson is better than boeser, and it looks like we are adding a first, so that we can pay boeser 1.7 million more to produce less. That's a bold strategy cotton.

Gave up what? Bryson is a 7th D, Bloom may never crack the NHL , Olly is a goal scorer with zero defensive skills who holds some value because he has a decent shot. Schenn has more points than any dman on our team not named Dahlin, also he actually tough which we have ZERO of, also he leads the league in checks which we have ZERO of? Do you watch hockey? Joshua is a nice player, hard hitter and can scrap with offensive upside and Boesser is a wayyy better all around player than Olly. This team goes into the playoffs like this they will get physically intimidated every game. Watch more hockey and get back to me.

Olly has 9 assists. On pace for 14 this season? He is a defensive nightmare with a great shot. Boesser is younger, bigger, stronger and is on pace for 40 assist. From a pure upside standpoint Olly cant hold Boessers jock.

Olofsson had 29 assist last year. He had 42pts in 54gms including 22 assists when he was with Eichel. Give him a good Center and he will get points.

You don't get an assist if no one is scoring and last I checked they don't add assists to the scoreboard

does not eliminate the fact that he is a defensive liability at all times.

You also dont win games when you are a complete defensive liability. He is great for a run and gun team like the sabres but if he played on most teams that play a tight checking system and rely on defense he wouldnt even dress.

I agree with him being something the Sabres don't have, and I know who he is. He is having a down year big time compared to last year. I don't think a 2nd is to far off and change Hino to a Decent Prospect.

He isn't that bad defensively. He had one bad play last night. Vancouver fans are telling you Olofsson is better than Boeser too

They have never watched Olly play, they see the 23 goals and think he must be decent, but they miss they defensive zone, the lack of battle along the boards and the low compete level especially in physical games.

You dont want this team to get tougher and harder to play against? You arent sick of watching opposing teams punch Dahlin in the mouth? You think this team would do well in the playoffs when its thunderdome and anything goes? Did you watch the Calgary game last week, 1st period they tried to skate with us and went down 2-0, 2nd period the just decided that they were going to beat the hell out of us and they did, they owned us both mentally and physically, as Craig Rivet mentioned in his podcast their 7th toughest player is tougher than our toughest player. The recipe is simple, if you want to beat the sabs just hit them until they give up. These trades give us a backbone, it gives us pushback and it gives us a 4th line that can change the momentum of a game along with a dman that will actually hit and defend 26 and 24 when they get attacked. if you cant see this is what they need than you will never get it..

Oh no, I see it. Plenty of guys up front that don't hit. Not many can score 30 while making under 5 million. I'd start with mittelstadt. You can have Bryson too, and if you want to ante up and replace jokiharju with somebody who is better and more physical, I'd like that too.

I am not married to these moves, but I am married to the driving factors behind them. You can't have a 21 year old Cozens be your muscle, the poor kid is what 180lbs? You cant rely on Okposo who is a shadow of himself, you need that backbone, you need that guy (guys) that will make this team hard to play against. My trade proposal simply represents the need to get tough so our stars can do their thing!
